Descent To Undermountain 1998-02-16 Staff | Watch out, Quake! says Brian Fargo, CEO of Interplay.
Yeah... watch out for that avalanche of unsold games coming back to your office, loser. This is not even worthy of being a Wolf-3D killer...

Xwing Balance Of Power 1998-02-16 Staff | Can you ever get enough star wars? If you said yes, please leave now...
Turkey Hunter 1998-02-16 Staff | This is a game where diffent boxes of video games are thrown in front of you, and you earn points for shooting the Sierra Online titles...
7th Legion 1998-02-11 Staff | Command & Conquer clone. Nothing Special. They added new stuff, but it somehow doesn't come together.
Andretti Racing 1998-02-11 Staff | Okay... If you want to have to take into account the tire maker, day of week, wind conditions and what you ate for lunch... then this may not be the racing game for you. But if you want a fun racing sim/arcadr game this is the racing game.

Comanche 3 1998-02-11 Staff | This is a great helicopter flying game. The first time you fly a new mission, you will die just checking out the scenery.
Pax Imperia 1998-02-11 Staff | Fairly brain dead strategy game.
Quake 1998-02-11 Staff | Come on now. This is the most expandable, funnest, best multiplayer game in the world.
Simply put, this is the best video game I own.
Lords of Magic 1998-02-11 Staff | Like most Sierra products, this sucks. The load to and from battle is so long you have time to fire off a couple of nasty letters to Sierra's Customer support address. They have released a bug release (they didn't mind the minute waits in beta... yeah what, were you paying them by the hour?). I would hold off on this one...

Daytona USA Deluxe 1998-02-11 Staff | Buy this "Deluxe" version of Daytona for someone you need to flatter. When they ask why, tell them that you simply love them this much and that - you're quoting F. Scott Fitzgerald now - being with them is an ecstasy of eternal seconds. You'll know the real reason though: Sega Week.

G-Police 1998-02-11 Staff | This one's a toughy. It looks freakin' amazing. It'll make you feel good about your 3DFX card purchase. I got bored pretty quick playing it, though. We're not talking Hexen II boring, mind you, but it's no Myth. Myth looks pretty good on a 3DFX card too. Do you have Myth yet? Maybe you should get that instead. Unless you like sharp looking, boring arcade flying games. Do you have a Nintendo 64? Get Starfox instead. That looked nice, and was fun. Yeah - get Starfox. We don't carry that by the way. As long as you're here, why not pick up a copy of Myth.

Joint Strike Fighter 1998-02-11 Staff | Stop smoking the joint, you aren't in nam... You are in a plane that does not yet exist. Beautiful and fun. With a 3dfx card this game is out and out amazing, without it... its still great. Okay, I am going to quit working all together soon. Choose about 10 games and never leave my back room... Just when I think all games suck, I have fun with one.
Oh yes, to you flight sim fanatics, I do not know how to really fly a plane, so if this sucks because in real life you would do x then y, not y then x... well guess what? I ain't in a real plane! But I dare you to buzz the ground, and not think this isn't a great game...

Worms 2 1998-02-11 Staff | I finally had a chance to sit down with Worms 2. I like it. A lot. Like Myth, it's tactical and relatively fast to play. Unlike Myth, it has worms. I'm a big fan of worms. Could I possibly like Myth more? Yes; if it had worm units. Also, game designers take note, I really enjoy games that have a voice sample screaming, or kind of growling, the name of the game at the title screen. Worms 2 does not have this feature, and loses points because of it. Except for that though (and possible issues with internet play, which I haven't tried), Worms2 is great fun.

Air Warrior 3 1998-02-11 Staff | So are you the type of gameplayer that likes to sit at home and never leave except through cyberspace? Or do you like to kill people you have never met? This game has little value offline. Online... well it's very cool... I suck at it, and it's still cool!

Take No Prisoners 1998-02-11 Staff | "Epic Action Pack"
a play in 2 acts by erik
Act I
(The setting is a small office. It is winter, 1998. CHET and ERIK, both
sons of MURRAY, are huffing freon.)
CHET: Remember Intellivision Baseball?
ERIK: Man, that was a freakin GREAT game. That's what, 16 years ago? I loved that goddamn game.
Act II
(The setting is a small office. It is winter, 1998. CHET and ERIK are
center stage. They sit in silence. Old man MURRAY enters stage left.)
MURRAY: Do you guys remember Take No Prisoners?
CHET : No.
ERIK : No.

Mechwarrior Mercenaries 1998-02-11 Staff | Mechwarriors... are you kids still starving for this?
Shivers 2 1998-02-11 Staff | Did you like Myst? Do you miss those days of elementary school watching
slide shows of how the tiger got its tail? Do you wear women's clothes under your street clothes? Basically are you a little whining sniveling pussy? If so BUY THIS!!!!

Myth 1998-02-10 Staff | Even after two months, this is my (erik's) favorite game of the moment. The person to whom I lost a bet (resulting in my not being able to talk about Myth in the office) has been fired by the Old Man. I CAN AND WILL TALK ABOUT MYTH AGAIN. MYTH MYTH MYTH. I no longer have to refer to Mr. Brooks' "The Mythical Man Month" as "The Fanciful Man Month". MYTH MYTH MYTH. MYTHICAL MAN MONTH. Free at last. Free at last. Thank God almighty, I'm free at last. Simply put: Myth Rocks. It's fun, it's easy on the eyes and it's fast (no spending 4 hours building a base just to have it wiped out in two minutes). Also, it's a fantasy game without orcs; extra points there. (Are you listening Sierra - A FANTASY GAME WITHOUT ORCS.) Buy Myth - I PROMISE you, you won't be disappointed.

Red Baron 2 1998-02-10 Staff | A 3D game with no 3DFX support, no terrain detail, bad graphics and crappy sound. Next.
Driver Edition 1998-02-10 Staff | A Driver's Ed Game?
I think sierra should take some classes in game programming education.
